Cheryl Ann Campbell 63 of Woodward, Oklahoma joined her father, mother, a sister, and a grandson in heaven on September 5, 2024, in Woodward. 

Memorial services will be 10 am on Friday, September 20, at the Canadian Methodist Church with Rev. Dean Hughes, pastor of the Eastside Baptist Church in Topeka, Kansas and Rev. David Gerhardt pastor of the Canadian Methodist Church, officiating. Cremation and arrangements are under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors of Canadian.

Sydna Davis Arbuckle, a wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away peacefully on September 2, 2024. She is now walking on streets of gold with her Savior and Lord, Jesus Christ.

Sydna was born on September 18, 1939 in Elgin, Texas to Syd and Nell Davis. She attended Elgin schools and graduated from Elgin High School as valedictorian in 1957. She attended Howard Payne University and studied history.

USN AVCM Ret. Aurelio G. Garcia, a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and proud Veteran of the United States Navy, went Home to the Almighty Father from natural causes. He was surrounded by his daughter Debra and son-in-law Lonnie Cross.

Aurelio, 94, was known by friends as “Joe” and by family and close friends as “Grelie.” He was born in Cuyler, Texas to Jose and Angela Garcia.

Christopher Robert Sorrell, 47, of Pampa, passed away on September 3, 2024 in Amarillo.

Memorial services will be 2 pm on Saturday, October 5, at First Methodist Church of Pampa with Rev. Jarrod Neal officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday, October 4, from 6-7:30 pm. Cremation and arrangements are under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors and Crematory.

Jerel Lynn Norris, 75 of Canadian passed away Saturday, September 7, 2024, in Canadian, with his family by his side. Public viewing will be Thursday, September 12, and Friday, September 13. The family will receive visitors, Friday, September 13, from 6 to 7:30 pm at Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors of Canadian.

Therese Browne Abraham passed peacefully from this earth on August 29, 2024, at her Canadian, Texas home with her family by her side. 

A funeral mass will be held on Friday, September 6 at 2:00 pm at Canadian’s Sacred Heart Catholic Church with Rev. Nicholas Gerber, pastor at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church in Amarillo, officiating. Cremation and arrangements are under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors of Canadian. 

Randy Lee Porter, 62, of Canadian formally of Perryton went to meet Jesus Wednesday, August 21, 2024, in Canadian.

A family memorial service will be held at a later date. Arrangements and cremation are under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors of Canadian.

Leslie “Les” Douglas Lovvorn, 79, of Amarillo, Texas passed away on August 23, 2024. 

Memorial services will be at 1 pm on Tuesday, August 27, 2024, in the Boxwell Brothers Ivy Chapel with Mike Leonard officiating. Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors, 2800 Paramount Blvd.

Shirley Marie Baker, 88, of Amarillo formally of Canadian passed away August 22, 2024.

Public viewing will be available on Sunday, August 25, between 1 pm and 8 pm or on Monday, August 26, between 8 am and 12 pm at Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Home, 203 S 3rd St, Canadian. 

George Wayne Vinson, 91, of Amarillo, Texas passed away on August 22, 2024. 

Memorial services will be at 2:30 pm on Sunday, August 25, 2024, at the Bell Avenue Church of Christ in Amarillo with Eddie Hankins, Milton Miller, and Tommy Key. A private family burial will take place on Monday, August 26, at Washita Cemetery under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors and Crematory.
