Canadian’s Camree Slavin won Ladies’ All-Around honors at last weekend’s Ranger Rodeo in Alva, Oklahoma, with her performances in barrels, breakaway roping and goat tying. The Panhandle State Rodeo Team member also collected a trophy belt buckle as big as her victory grin, which she proudly displays here with her grandparents Barbie and John Long of Canadian, and her head coach Shelbie Rose. The four-day Ranger Rodeo is one of ten rodeos in the Central Plains Region and includes seventeen colleges in Oklahoma and Kansas sanctioned by the National Intercollegiate Rodeo Association (NIRA). It features student athletes from across the United States, who converge on the “Alva Dome” to display their skills in the arena.
