AMARILLO—The Amarillo Area Foundation is now accepting scholarship applications for the 2026–2027 academic year. Students across the Texas Panhandle are encouraged to apply before the deadline of Friday, March 6, at 12 pm (noon).

Each year, the Amarillo Area Foundation awards millions of dollars in scholarships to help students pursue higher education and workforce training opportunities. Scholarships are available for graduating high school seniors, current college students, and non-traditional students returning to school.

Through a single online application, students are matched with scholarships for which they are eligible — including county-specific awards, Panhandle-wide scholarships, and field-of-study–based opportunities.

Who Is Eligible?

Eligibility varies by scholarship, but applicants generally must:

• Reside within the Amarillo Area Foundation’s 26-county Texas Panhandle service area

• Plan to attend an accredited college, university, trade school, or technical program

• Meet specific academic, financial, or program-based criteria depending on the scholarship

Some scholarships are designated for students pursuing specific majors, attending certain institutions, or graduating from particular high schools or counties.

Where to Start:

Students can get started on the application online at:
