To all candidates in the March 3, 2026 Primaries:

            As has been our tradition, The Canadian Record is offering local candidates for public office the opportunity to let voters know who they are, and why they are seeking election. We will publish your statements (please limit to 600 words or less) along with a photograph in our online edition (www.canadianrecord.com) and on our Facebook page (https://www.facebook.com/canadiantexas/).

            We ask that you include a brief biographical statement, telling voters about your family, your educational background, your employment, your party affiliation, and other details you believe might help voters make their decision.

            All materials (including photographs) to be included with the candidates’ statements must be received no later than 5 pm on Tuesday, February 18, 2026. Your statements should be emailed to editor@canadianrecord.com, or mailed to The Canadian Record, PO Box 898, Canadian, TX 79014.

            There is no charge for this public service. We appreciate your willingness to serve, and believe in the need for each citizen to cast a well-informed ballot.

            Any political advertising during the campaign period will be charged at regular advertising rates (rate sheet available on request), and is payable in advance in accordance with the law.
