PERRYTON--Officials with the City of Perryton and Ochiltree County Emergency Management released the following tornado recovery update. In addition, the Perryton City Council will conduct its regular public meeting at 6:30 pm on Tuesday, August 15, to discuss the agenda posted at left on this page. In addition to other business, the council will consider passing a resolution confirming and continuing the Mayor's Declaration of Disaster, will conduct a general review and discussion of disaster recovery efforts and activities, and wil consider approval of Community Development Corporation Projects.

The Volunteer Coordination Hotline has a new telephone number, which is (806) 202-9561.  If you are wanting to donate building or construction materials, wanting to perform volunteer work, or need volunteer work performed, please contact the Volunteer Coordinator at this number.

If your home or business was destroyed by the tornado, please contact City Hall at (806) 435-4014 to disconnect utilities if they are no longer required.  Notifying City Hall to disconnect services will prevent you from being billed for services not required.  Additionally, if you have relocated, please contact City Hall to update our Billing Department with your new location.

If you lost your home, or are living in an unsafe structure, please contact Panhandle Community Services at (806) 435-2478.  They will do their best to help find housing options for you. Their office is located on the 2nd floor of 514 S. Main (Ragsdale Building).

Mental health counseling services for community members impacted by the tornado is available through the Texas Panhandle Center, located at 311 S. Main.

Si perdió su hogar o vive en una estructura insegura, comuníquese con Servicios Comunitarios de Panhandle al (806) 435-2478.  Ellos harán todo lo posible para ayudar a encontrar opciones de vivienda para usted. Su oficina está ubicada en el 2do piso de 514 S. Main (Ragsdale Building).
