Wildcat quarterback Camren Cavalier honored at Built Ford Tough banquet

Though the high school football season has been in the books for over a month, it hasn’t stopped Canadian quarterback Camren Cavalier from getting very well-deserved acknowledgment. Last Saturday, the District 3-3A Division II MVP and 2022 Press Pass Sports Player of the Year was in Frisco at the Dallas Cowboys practice facility, better known as “The Star,” as a finalist for the Built Ford Tough Class 3A Player of the Year.

Wildcats blast Tulia, lose to Spearman as district begins

It was a very up-and-down opening week of district play for the Canadian Wildcats. A team still trying to find their footing from a successful football run, the Wildcats opened league play in emphatic fashion by blasting Tulia 70-28 on the road, before struggling in a 55-32 loss at Spearman on Tuesday.

It’s official: Canadian graduate Arbuckle named OC at Washington State University

Washington State University Head Football Coach Jack Dickert officially announced the hiring of Ben Arbuckle as the Cougars’ new offensive coordinator last Friday Arbuckle, a 2014 Canadian High School graduate and former standout quarterback of the Wildcats, will take over offensive coordinator duties while also working with quarterbacks.

Lady Cats enter district play with two big wins and new momentum

The Canadian Lady Cats will carry positive momentum to open District 1-3A play on Friday after getting two big wins fresh off the Christmas break. Canadian earned a road victory at Childress last Thursday 47-38 before closing the non-district schedule by nabbing a hardfought 50-48 win over Wellington at home on Monday.
