SEPTEMBER 16: CANADIAN INVITATIONAL

Both the Wildcat Varsity and Junior High teams won the meet. Out of 20 runners competing, 18 ran their personal best, reported Coach Jay McCook, who concluded, “Outstanding day for the Wildcats.”

Varsity Lady Cats

Last Saturday, the Lady Cat Varsity won their hometown cross-country meet last weekend for the second consecutive year, claiming back-to-back titles. The Canadian runners knocked off top-10-ranked Dalhart to win the title.

Lady Cat Konnar McClendon won first overall, followed by teammates Arionna Black in second-place, and Elizabeth Guerrero in fifth. Rounding out the winning team were Maile Quisenberry, Payton Lee, Brooklyn Beedy and Landry Appel.

The Lady Cats will race next this Saturday, Sept. 23, in Lubbock at the Pre-Regional Meet.

Varsity Lady Cats: CHS Lady Cats Varsity won second overall at Perryton, behind the Hooker varsity girls team, which has won three out of the last four state titles 3 out of the last 4 Oklahoma state titles. Konnar McClendon won the meet individually for the second straight year. Arionna Black was third overall and Elizabeth Guerrero was sixth overall to round out Canadian’s medalists in what Coach Aaron Marks said was a competitive meet overall.

SEPTEMBER 2: BORGER HIGH JEEP WEB XC CLASSIC

The Wildcat Varsity cross-country team competed in Borger High School’s “Jeep Webb” cross-country meet, and finished second as a team overall in a field of 73 runners. The Junior High team led the field, finishing first overall. Canadian’s Lady Cat XC team took the weekend off.
