NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CANADIAN, TEXAS TO CONSIDER THE ADVISABILITY OF THE CREATION OF REINVESTMENT ZONE NUMBER ONE, CITY OF CANADIAN, TEXAS FOR TAX INCREMENT FINANCING PURPOSES PURSUANT TO CHAPTER 311, TEXAS TAX CODE

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN THAT the City Council of the City of Canadian, Texas (the “City”), pursuant to Chapter 311.003 Texas Tax Code, as amended, (the “Act”), will hold a public hearing at 5:30 p.m. on Monday, September 21, 2026, at City Hall, 6 Main Street, Canadian, TX 79014, for the purpose of considering the creation of Reinvestment Zone Number One, City of Canadian, Texas, located within the boundaries of the City and the City’s extraterritorial jurisdiction.

All persons are invited to attend the hearing and speak for or against the creation of Tax Increment Reinvestment Zone Number One, City of Canadian, Texas, the proposed boundaries, or the concept of tax increment financing. Written or oral statements will be considered. The proposed boundaries are contiguous and consist of approximately 485.57 acres located west and east of US Highway 83. A more detailed legal description and boundary map of the proposed Reinvestment Zone Number One, City of Canadian, Texas, are on file and open for public inspection in the office of the City Secretary at City Hall, 6 Main Street, Canadian, TX 79014.
