Just as COVID-19 has disrupted other sporting events, several local rodeoers will qualified for state and national finals in their divisions, and are hoping those events will not be canceled.

Residents of long-term care facilities are more susceptible to COVID-19 infection and the detrimental impact of the virus than the general population. In addition to the susceptibility of residents, a long-term care environment presents challenges to containing an outbreak with a potentially rapid spread among a highly vulnerable population.

Ball club opens season May 13; opening game will be played on the local diamond.

Canadian's Baseball Nine will open this year's season of the great American game on the local diamond next Sunday afternoon against the Higgins-Booster team.
During last season both Higgins and Booster Station supported teams but this year they have combined forces and should have a snappy nine after picking the best players from both to form one team.
