Glen Allen Ellison was born on April 3, 1945, in Rotan to Miles Allen and Vera Mae Moore Ellison. He married JoAnn Poore on June 26, 1965, in Aspermont. They settled in the Canadian area in 1967. Glen and JoAnn were active in their boys’ activities during their growing up years. Glen was a member of the Central Baptist Church. He enjoyed working with his bird dogs, quail hunting, fishing, and tending his garden. Glen especially loved family vacations and playing with his grandkids and later great grandkids. He was a good dad who taught his boys a strong honest work ethic. Glenn worked as a Production Foreman for Shamrock Oil & Gas for 33 years. If asked his treasured accomplishments, they would have been his boys, Allen and Keith, and being married 60 years to JoAnn, the love of his life.
