George Wayne Vinson, 91, of Amarillo, Texas passed away on August 22, 2024.
Memorial services will be at 2:30 pm on Sunday, August 25, 2024, at the Bell Avenue Church of Christ in Amarillo with Eddie Hankins, Milton Miller, and Tommy Key. A private family burial will take place on Monday, August 26, at Washita Cemetery under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors and Crematory.
Hemphill County Farm Bureau representatives recently presented $5,000 donations from Texas Farm Bureau to two local volunteer fire departments that responded to the historic wildfires in the area in February and March.
The financial donations to the Gem City Volunteer Fire Department and Canadian Volunteer Fire Department are an effort to show appreciation for the departments and to help them replenish resources used in the fire response.
