In the second round of the 2025 UIL Texas Football State Championships, the Canadian Wildcats (10-1) will take on the Coahoma Bulldogs (9-2). Game time is at 6 p.m. on Friday, November 21, at the Greg Sherwood Memorial Bulldogs Stadium in Plainview. Our friends at Press Pass Sports remind us that this is a rematch from last year’s area round matchup, in which the Wildcats outscored the Bulldogs 63-35.

The winner of Friday's game will face the winner of the Idalou (8-3) vs Grape Creek (7-4) clash in the Regional round of competition on Thanksgiving weekend.

The stakes are also getting higher in the Wildcat Pick 'Em contest, where Charlie Mann is in the lead with five stars, followed closely by Blake Beedy with four, and Tommy Wyatt, whose winning Pick 'Em from last week's showdown between the Cats and the Muleshoe Mules garnered a fourth star.
